What is Neuropathy?
Neuropathy is a result of damage to the nerves often causing weakness, pain, numbness, tingling, and the most debilitating balance problems. This damage is commonly caused by a lack of blood flow to the nerves in the hands and feet which will cause the nerves to begin to slowly degenerate due to lack of nutrient flow.
The treatment to increase blood flow utilizes an infrared laser therapy using light emitting diode technology by NASA.
The most common method your doctor will recommend to “treat” your neuropathy is most likely some kind of prescription drug. These drugs have names, such as, Gabapentin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and Neurontin, and are primarily antidepressant or anti-seizure drugs. WARNING: These drugs may cause you to feel uncomfortable and have a variety of side effects. (INCLUDING DROWSINESS AND DRY MOUTH MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO FUNCTION. THEY MAY EVEN CAUSE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS.)
You might find your doctor has already told you to, “Just live with the problem” or to “just try the drugs” which you don’t like taking because they make you feel worse! There is now a facility right here in the Northwest Houston Area that offers a new hope without taking those endless drugs that have serious side effects. We are all dependent on healthy nerves to provide protective sensation to warn us about sharp objects, hot surfaces and the formation of blisters. Without this warning system , we are susceptible to burns, foreign objects, blisters and infected wounds which ultimately may lead to amputations of the feet and legs.
Don’t Hesitate to Act Now!
Neuropathy is a progressive condition and once you have sustained 85% nerve loss, there is likely nothing we can do for you to rapidly reduce pain by hyper stimulating the nerves and the other is designed to increase blood flow and activate the mitochondria (or powerhouse of the cell) to increase cellular energy, reduce inflammation and heal tissue. This technology was originally developed by NASA to assist in increasing blood flow. The amount of treatment needed to allow the nerves to fully recover varies from person to person and can only be determined after a detailed neurological and vascular evaluation. As long as you have not sustained at least 85% nerve damage there is hope!
Our amazing Doctors and staff will do a neuropathy severity examination to determine the extent of the nerve damage for only $117. This Neuropathy Severity Examination will consist of a detailed sensory evaluation, a detailed analysis of the findings of the extent of your neuropathy, and any necessary x-rays.
